JOANNA WAKE
Aunt Lydia After leaving RADA and several years in repertory theatres all over England,Joanna was invited to Paris to work with Jaques Tati at the studios Biancourt. Returning to England she landed her first West End show which lasted exactly one week! Appearances on many television shows followed including The Avengers, Emergency Ward 10, Separate Tables, and Compact and several play for today productions.Tours with Prospect Theatre Company, Pop Theatre, Cambridge Theatre Co she then joined the Young Vic as a founder member, playing among many others roles Katerina in The Taming of the Shrew, which toured all over the world. West End shows include Bible One, A Winters Tale, The Shot in Question, The Mousetrap, Dangerous Corner, Getting Married and Death.Recent television work includes Brides in the Bath, Sunburn ,Grafters, The Vet, Family Affairs, Doctors and most recently an episode of Hustle. She has also appeared in Shows at the Orange Tree theatre, and a run in New York with Toms Midnight Garden and a new play at Scarborough. She now joins Middle Ground for the first time. Joanna has always worked in radio and voiceovers and was a member of the BBC repertory company twice. Her films include. A winters Tale, with Lawrence Harvey, Salt and Pepper Two with Sammy Davies junior, A Man you don’t meet everyday, and Shiner.
