Rolf trained at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. His theatre work includes the British/European premieres of Donald Margulies’ DINNER WITH FRIENDS (Hampstead), two Neil Simon plays; LOST IN YONKERS (The Strand) and LAUGHTER ON THE 23RD FLOOR (Library Theatre and Queen’s Theatre), SHORT EYES (Man in the Moon), BRONTOSAURUS (Lyric, Hammersmith), PRIVATE WARS (Latchmere) and creating the roles of Al in CAHOOTS (The Mill), and Stephen Marx in THREE ON A COUCH (King’s Head). Other theatre credits include: JERRY SPRINGER – THE OPERA (National Tour), THE PRICE (Library Theatre), BLUES FOR MR. CHARLIE (Talawa/Tricycle/Wolsey), THE WINTER’S TALE and PERICLES (RSC), OLEANNA (Theatre Clwyd), A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE (Leicester), CHICAGO (Adelphi, London), DEATH AND THE MAIDEN (Wolsey), CLOUDS (Revival Tour), THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH (Queen’s), THE GRADUATE (Gielgud), CHAPTER TWO (Middle and Far East tour), THE FLIP SIDE (The Mill), HELLO DOLLY (Lincoln Theatre Royal), BABES IN ARMS and THE MUSIC MAN both for Chichester Theatre Festival. Most recently he has been seen in Woody Allen’s THE FLOATING LIGHT BULB and Chaim Potok’s THE CHOSEN, both in California.

Television credits include the series of LOVE HURTS III, CAPITAL CITY and PULASKI. Movies/mini series include: THE CANTERVILLE GHOST, ALAS VEGAS, LONDON SUITE (the third in Neil Simons “suite” trilogy), THE AFFAIR, THE TRIALS OF OZ, SHE-WOLF OF LONDON, THE FIRST MODERN OLYMPICS and episodic work for: A BUNCH OF HIPPIES, BIRDS OF A FEATHER, CROWN PROSECUTOR, GOODNIGHT SWEETHEART, ONE FOR THE ROAD, POIROT, RUNAWAY BAY, SPACE PRECINCT, SITTING PRETTY, STARTING OUT, THE EAGLE, THE UPPER HAND, TOMORROW PEOPLE, ULTIMATE FORCE II, and LITTLE BRITAINS CHRISTMAS SPECIAL.
