The late Barry Foster, veteran of many television programmes including the title role in Van Der Valk, and of course leads in many films such as David Lean’s Ryan’s Daughter and Alfred Hitchcock’s Frenzy.

The legendary Tony Britton, star of
many films including The Day Of The
Jackal, is the latest in a line of fine actors
to play the lead role in THE HOLLY AND
THE IVY. He also starred in THE
IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST.

Sadly Dermot died in 2002. What can we say about him that hasn’t already been said? Veteran RANK star of over 40 films and the title role in the TV series Richard The Lionheart. A number of Middleground tours including THE HOLLY AND THE IVY.

DANGEROUS CORNER saw Lewis Collins
join Middle Ground - Lewis has starred in
many action films, including Who Dares
Wins, and of course played Bodie in
The Professionals.

George Sewell is one of this country’s favourite actors. Numerous television series include The Detectives, Special Branch, UFO, and of course playing opposite Michael Caine in arguably this country’s best gangster film, Get Carter. George joined us for the 2001 tour of GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER? He sadly died in 2007.

Brian Cant joined Middle Ground for the tours of AN IDEAL HUSBAND, PRESENT LAUGHTER and THE HOLLY AND THE IVY. Best known as a children’s presenter/voice-over artiste for shows including Playaway, Play School, Trumpton, Candlewick Green and Chigley.

The 1998 production of SPRING & PORT
WINE saw Glyn Owen star as Rafe Crompton. He is known to many as Jack Rolfe in the BBC’s Howard’s Way. He sadly died in 2004.
