Christine trained at the Central School of School of Speech & Drama. In recent years she has toured nationally as Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest; she has played Betsy Jane – Old Guinness Guts in Bill Naughton’s Spring & Port Wine, Mrs. Oaks in Flare Path & Aunt Lydia in the 2004/5 tour of The Holly & the Ivy with Tony Britton, all for Middle Ground Theatre Company. She also played the Midwife in Figaro Gets Divorced for Stephen Daldry at the Gate Theatre in London and the BBC Radio 3 adaptation.
Last year she appeared as the Ghost of Christmas Present in the 2005/6 production of A Christmas Carol at Trinity Arts Centre, Tunbridge Wells and a variety of characters in Roger Booth’s collection of comedy sketches Is It Raining or Is It Just Me? on a performance boat in Shoreham Harbour. She also played Dora Anne in Rock-A-Hula Rest Home, a new play by Mark Crane and Beverley Parry at the Brighton Festival.
Television includes Miss Smith in The Token King (Channel 4), Mrs Blake in Palmer for LWT, Beth Tyzack in The Seventh Angel (BBC) and Margaret Stein in Calliope, again for Channel 4.
