George has performed extensively in theatre throughout the country, playing a variety of roles including Sir Robert Morton in The Winslow Boy, John Barrett in Dangerous Obsession, Arthur in The Fancy Man, Andrew Wyke in Sleuth, Inspector Nelson in Rat in the Skull.
National tours include Dr Rance in What the Butter Saw, Malvolio in Twelfth Night and Carnoustie Bligh in Sailor Beware. He also played Sergeant Trotter in a European tour of The Mousetrap. He attained notoriety in the Dr Who world, having played leading villain Graham Winslet in the trilogy of Auton Films. In 02 and 03 he wrote and performed two solo shows about Richard Burton and John Gielgud at the Edinburgh and Buxton Festivals. Other recent theatre includes Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman, Davis in The Caretaker, and Sixteen Sonorous Stones at The Bridewell Theatre. During 2007, George was seen in four episodes of Emmerdale, playing Carl King’s solicitor Richard Coulson and later that year did a new one-man show - Stirring Finish. He then played Captain Lesgate in Dial M for Murder for Middleground Theatre Company, George Bernard Shaw in Dear Liar for TABS Theatre Company and later this year, he will be playing Prince Philip in Do You Still Throw Spears At Each Other?
