The 2003 production of Brief Encounter starred Karen Drury and Richard Walsh with Lynette McMorrough and Nick Wilton. It was adapted from the famous David Lean film of the same name. The now classic construction of the story - beginning at the climax and then telling the tale through a series of flashbacks - was at the time of the film a relatively new cinematic device and it worked extremely well in Middle Ground’s stage production.
