James trained at The London Centre for Theatre Studies.

His recent theatre credits include: Simon in Marrying the Mistress (Kenneth Wax and Nick Brook Productions) Bollingbroke in Richard II and The Duke in Measure for Measure (Demi Paradise Productions), The Duke in Two Gentlemen of Verona (Theatre Set-up) Alan in School for Wives; Grumio/Gremio in Taming of the Shrew; Chief Weasel in Wind in the Willows; The Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland (Chalkfoot Theatre Company); Verges in Much ado about Nothing (Midsommer Actors); Phileas Fogg in Around the World in Eighty Days (Vienna’s English Theatre); Noel in The Belle of Bonavista Bay (Forest Forge Theatre Company).

His TV credits include: Casualty, Hetty Wainthrop Investigates and The Lakes (BBC); Big Meg Little Meg and Love Lies Bleeding (Granada) and Weekend Stories (WDR TV).

James is delighted to be working again with Middle Ground on Dial M for Murder.
